Italian Heritage Meets Modern Performance

Woven merino fabrics

A Century of Italian Mastery: The Evolution of Woven Merino

The level of structure and sophistication in the weave of our shirts truly sets them apart. It creates the crisp, tailored silhouette of a premium shirt, combined with the natural 'superpowers' of merino wool.

Compact spinning Technology

Heritage and innovation hand in hand

Experience the extraordinary: our fabric is so smooth and refined, it’s hard to believe it’s wool. This is achieved in Biella, Italy—the world’s wool capital—where we partner with a mill that has been the global authority in the field for over 150 years.

This century of heritage, combined with innovative "compact spinning" technology, allows us to use only the longest, finest fibers for a flawless, pill-free finish. From the selection of ZQ-certified wool to the final weave, every step is expertly handled to ensure a hand-feel and durability that mass-produced fabrics simply cannot replicate.

Discover wool like never before. You have to feel it to believe it.

What our customers say
What our customers say
"Without a doubt one of my absolute favorite shirts. Warm or cold weather, the merino is super light and comfortable to wear. And it’s the perfect travel companion. No wrinkles, no odours, even after a day by train or car."

Why woven merino shirts from Wolk stand out:

Unrivaled Structure

Unlike knits that sag, our woven Merino wool maintains a crisp, professional silhouette and holds a sharp crease, making it the gold standard for shirts.

The 100-Year Edge

Century-old Italian mills utilize proprietary finishing techniques that make the wool feel incredibly smooth against the skin, removing the "itch" traditionally associated with wool.

4 season comfort

The tight, precise weave makes light weight fabrics that are cooler than cotton in the summer yet provide core warmth in the winter.

Natural Performance

It is inherently wrinkle-resistant and odor-neutralizing, making it the ultimate fabric for the modern traveler.

Sustainable wool

We only work with certified wool knowing that the sheep and environment are cared for and that the farmer gets a fair price.

Different weights & blends

We’ve carefully selected the ideal weight for every occasion. Our standard fabric (135 g/m²) is light and breathable for year-round wear, while our white shirts use a denser weave (160-190 g/m²) to ensure they are more opaque.

For winter, we offer a heavier (280 g/m²), brushed flannel that provides extra warmth without losing that signature softness.

White merino wool shirts

Why is white merino wool unique?

A white shirt is obvious, but white wool is not.

No sheep has one hundred percent white wool. It will always contain some grey fibres. These fine fibres all have to be sorted out. But even then, the wool is not entirely white but a bit cream-colored. It takes a lot of time and demands a lot of expertise and care to make white merino fabric.

Ethical from the Source

We believe in transparency from "Sheep to Shirt."

  • Mulesing-Free: We only source wool from farms that treat their animals with respect.
  • ZQ Certified: Our wool is fully traceable, ensuring the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.
  • Biodegradable: When its long life finally comes to an end, Merino wool naturally decomposes in the soil, leaving no trace.
