While we have always loved 100% merino T-shirts, we couldn’t find a brand whose mid-weight T-shirts lasted longer than a year without the typical tiny holes. Then, love quickly turns to disappointment. Our goal was to develop long-lasting merino wool T-shirts with optimal comfort. To achieve this, we integrated a small percentage of Nylon filament—and the results are worth it. We wear our T-shirts daily, and even after years of use, they still look brand new. While 100% merino feels great, it can stretch out or get holes over time. Our ClimaForce merino blend offers the same softness and breathability, but with added durability, better shape recovery, and longer-lasting performance.
Are merino wool T-shirts better than cotton or synthetics?
Absolutely! Merino wool is naturally breathable, moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating, and odor-resistant. Unlike cotton, it keeps you dry. Unlike synthetics, it stays fresh and feels soft against the skin. And they stay smell-free, several days in a row.
Are Wolk merino T-shirts itchy?
Not at all. We use super-fine merino fibers that feel smooth and comfortable—no itch, even for sensitive skin.
What is ClimaForce merino wool?
ClimaForce is our upgraded merino wool blend—engineered for better performance, durability, and comfort. It combines premium merino wool with 20% nylon to enhance strength, shape retention, and longevity—without losing the natural benefits of merino. Our Merino tees actually stay in your closet (and out of the bin).
Are Wolk merino wool T-shirts machine washable, and will they shrink?
Yes, they're machine washable—no special treatment needed. Thanks to our total Easy Care merino yarn, you can wash it on a 30°C delicate program. It is recommended to use wool wash because it contains less aggressive chemicals, and it keeps your wool and other clothes in better condition for a long time. Hang to dry, and after only a couple of hours, you can wear it again. Our T-shirts are prewashed, so they will not shrink anymore.
Will Wolk merino wool T-shirt colours start to fade?
We use colourfast pigments and pre-treat every fabric to lock in the colour. This means the colour won't noticeably fade, even after repeated washing and wearing. Our merino T-shirts are much more colour-fast than cotton tees. However, over the long term, the colour may lighten slightly due to UV rays. We therefore recommend avoiding direct sunlight when airing out your T-shirt.
