Spread collar merino shirts

The Tristan Merino Shirt features a smaller Italian spread collar for a modern, understated look.

The Oliver Merino Shirt, on the other hand, has a larger, stiffer English spread collar that adds a more formal and structured feel.

The Tristan merino shirts are made of 100% merino wool. The Oliver merino shirt in white is made of 63% merino wool and 37% Tencel. This is to make the shirt more white than the 100% merino shirt.

Merino wool is significantly more colorfast than cotton. Its fibers absorb dye more deeply and evenly, which means colors stay vibrant and resist fading—even after repeated washing. In contrast, cotton tends to lose its brightness over time, especially with frequent laundering or sun exposure. So, with Merino wool, your garments will continue to look fresh and rich in color for much longer.

Wolk's merino wool shirts are made with Total Easy Care Merino wool, so they’re machine washable and simple to maintain. For best results, use a delicate cycle (max 1400 rpm) at 30°C with a wool-specific detergent. Don’t use bleach or fabric softener. Put it in a washbag to protect it from other garments in your wash. Hang your shirt, don’t tumble dry, and avoid direct sunlight.

Like any dress shirt, our Merino wool shirts may shrink slightly—typically 1–3%. We recommend choosing a size that isn’t too tight to allow for this natural adjustment.

That depends on your activity level and how much you sweat. Merino wool naturally locks in odor at the fiber’s core, releasing it only during washing. Many of our customers comfortably wear their shirts anywhere from 3 to 5 days between washes.

With light colored Merino shirts like white or light blue, however, areas like the collar and cuffs may show signs of staining from natural body oils more quickly. For that reason, we recommend washing white shirts a bit more frequently than darker-colored ones to keep them looking fresh.
