How to wash and care for our merino wool polo shirts?
Wool is naturally resistant to stains and odours.
It is not needed to wash your wool garment after every wear. Just hang it out to aerate, and you will notice that it is fresh again.
Even with food or cigarette smell, it is enough to air the garment for a couple of hours—no need to wash.
When a deep clean finally becomes necessary, follow our care tips below to keep your merino in peak condition.
No handwash, but machine washable!
Say goodbye to hand wash. We make our merino wool garments with "total easy care" merino wool. The merino fibers undergo a natural treatment so that you can machine wash them at 30°C.

Wash instructions
- Space it Out: Don't overload the machine; friction wears out fibers.
- Flip & Protect: Wash inside out. Use a wash bag to prevent snags from zippers.
- Use Wool Detergent: It’s gentler on all fabrics and protects the merino fibre.
- Dose Correctly: More soap doesn’t mean cleaner clothes—avoid overdosing.
- No Softener or Bleach: These harsh chemicals damage colors and fibers.
- Cold Wash & Low Spin: Use a 30°C delicate cycle. Max 1200 RPM.
Dry instructions
- Air Dry Only: Never tumble dry.
- Dry Flat: To maintain shape, lay the merino polo flat on a towel or mesh rack. Gently smooth out folds and reshape by hand while damp.
- Avoid Heat: Keep merino T-shirts away from direct sunlight or heaters to prevent shrinking and fiber damage.
Iron instructions
To get it back into shape, we recommend to iron it.
- Low Heat: Use the "Wool," "Medium," or 2-dot setting. High heat can cause permanent discoloration.
- Use Moisture: Use steam or a light water spray to easily release creases.
- No Additives: Avoid spray-on starch or fabric softeners, as these can damage the fibers.
Storage instructions
- Polos: These can be neatly folded in your closet.
- Moth Prevention: Place cedarwood blocks or lavender sachets in your wardrobe to naturally repel moths and protect your wool.
- Long-term Storage: Before storing for the season, ensure the polos are clean. Store them in airtight bags or containers to prevent damage.
Remove pilling
The polo is made with pilling resistant wool, but after a while some pilling can occur due to intense use or after washing. This can easily be removed with a fabric shaver.
