Our journey began with a simple question: "why settle for less?"
Outdoor design taught us what everyday clothes were missing.
We’re Ellen Cattebeke and Joris Smeuninx, two Belgian designers with a background in technical outdoor apparel. Over the years, we became deeply familiar with the exceptional performance of merino wool—breathable, temperature-regulating, wrinkle-resistant, and naturally odor-free. During countless backpacking trips, we experienced the ease of wearing clothing for days without needing a wash.
But when it came to our everyday wardrobe, we saw a clear gap. Why was it so hard to find merino wool garments that looked sharp enough for a meeting or a business trip—without feeling sporty or out of place?
So we set out to create what we couldn’t find: high-performance merino wool garments in timeless, refined styles. Designed to move effortlessly from work to travel to daily life. Quietly technical. Uncompromisingly comfortable.

We set out to find merino fabrics that were stronger, more sustainable, and machine-washable—something better than what was already out there. After two years of working with experts in Italy and Portugal, we developed the fabrics we still use today.
Seven years later, our customers are still wearing those same garments—and so are we.
